Good morning! Today the Lord is speaking to us in John 9:2-3 & 5-7:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cAnd His disciples asked Him, saying \u2018Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?\u2019 Jesus answered, \u2018Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.\u2019\u201d
\u201c\u2018As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.\u2019 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, \u2018Go, wash in the pool of Siloam,\u2019 (which is translated \u201cSent\u201d). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.\u201d<\/p>\nJohn 9:2-3, 5-7<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
This ninth chapter of John is about a blind man who receives his sight, then Jesus moves on to teaching about spiritual sight. The first thing that struck me in this chapter is that the blind man did not know Jesus, wasn\u2019t a follower, and had no reason to believe that Jesus would or could heal him. He had no faith, but the healing happened, and then His faith became real. Jesus even comes back to the man compassionately to confirm that he has seen the Son of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
