Good morning! Today our Lord is encouraging us in Matthew 8:16-17:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cWhen evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying \u2018He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\nMatthew 8:16-17<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
So here I am again, awake in the middle of the night, not well, and not praying for myself. It\u2019s a life pattern that I have tried to overcome with short-lived success. Why is it that I can pray for throngs of folks with all kinds of ailments, needs, and addictions, but my own needs fall to the bottom of the list? Are most people like this, or do I continue to listen to the well-worn tapes of my abusive childhood that say, \u201cYou won\u2019t amount to anything. You will grow up to be an unhealthy woman working in a factory and married to a drunk like your aunts .\u201d ?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
