Discipleship is at the core of who we are as a congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-10d616d5 alignwide\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-eccd5833e5f3fc22fdadb52e2aa136b8\">What is a Disciple?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-24e2e5d7477d55dd37392d7295f57601\">To be on the same page, we define being a disciple as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-00e73e1ae86f555b5725d8c7c599a086\">A follower of Jesus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7704d3bef5c30e765afcd89886065818\">Someone who has been changed by Jesus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-44c65f730d2961a94a51a82484fb4683\">Someone committed to the mission of Jesus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ed924a7cfc66c714d75e5735f32cd7ba\">We take this definition from Matthew 4:19 where Jesus called Simon and Andrew to be &#8220;fishers of men&#8221; (NIV). Jesus called them to follow him. He said <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I will make you<\/span><\/em>&#8230; indicating the transformation He would have over them, and he called them to his mission, to fish for people.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Our vision to be a neighborhood church reflecting the love and hope of Jesus stems from this mission to make disciples. Our activities and ministries revolve around and support that mission.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-c2178154 alignwide\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outreach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The hope and love of Jesus make up the greatest gift anyone could hope for.
